I went to see Trans Siberian Orchestra last night. Wow.
That’s the best way I can say it. I always tell people or rather musician friends who perform that they need to be entertaining. That’s the biggest thing after the music (yes, the music has to be good if not great), but the show itself has to be entertaining. There has to be something about the performer(s) that makes you compelled to watch them. Trans Siberian Orchestra puts on one hell of a cool show. From a musician’s standpoint it’s highly impressive how the violin players and run from side to side and bounce around and stay in tune. Then there was this female singer who ran the length of the arena while singing a famous opera piece.
I’m a scrutinizing jerk when it comes to live stuff. She was doing that opera piece live while running. Then amazing thing was, she was nailing it! It was unbelievable.
My buddy Jeff Soto is one of the lead singers so he hooked me up with the opportunity to catch the spectacle. If you have the means, I highly recommend catching the show. It’s amazing, not only from the musician’s abilities, but also with the lights, the lasers, the fire balls, and stage show. Wow. It made me think, I want to have a show/tour that is like that in entertainment value.
The topper, Joe Walsh was the special guest performer. That was very cool too.
In the meantime I will leave you with a little ditty for the Christmas spirit. I need to get to work on more edits for the library. The meeting was good and it’s in the final stretch.
