In case you missed it last night there was a heightened amount of shooting stars. Depending on where you were in the northern hemisphere it could have been quite a display. I ended up driving into the hills of LA in a vain attempt to see as many as I could. Of course the biggest problem with LA is light pollution. There’s so much light that it makes it really hard to see anything but the very brightest of stars.
Did I see any shooting stars? Yes I did. I saw several that were very bright. None of them have matched one that I saw late at night driving thru Arizona. It’s still a marvel to see the universe doing it’s thing. There were quite a few other people in the hills of LA and when one bright shooting star happened a crowd of ooh’s and aaah’s would erupt. It was a cool group thing.
Thinking of stars, there’s a song by a band I was pals with called Caroline’s Spine. Their song is called True Star. It’s about those of us are able to be a bright light for others of us in this world. Somehow I’m one of those people to a lot of others that know me. I’ve been told many times that even if I don’t ask for that type of responsibility, I need to accept it.
Are you such a person? Do you accept it?
Think of this song with it’s driving beat, it’s soaring melody in the chorus, and the riffs that roll with it. It’s quick and too the point, much like a bright shooting star.
Dig it? Go get it now!
