It’s Friday the 13th, do you know where you are? Are you superstitious? Could the Da Vinci Code have been right saying it was the day the Christian Church attempted to kill the Templar Knights?
For me it’s a day of renewal and change. I’m getting a hair cut. My computer is coming back from the shop. I’m transcribing two songs for a friend for a project (haven’t done that in a while).
Rather than blather on about some crazy notion of 13, I’m going to get to the music.
While I don’t have a baby to be thinking about, it seems like as good a time as any for those of us that do, to give a moment to think about them. Marvin Gaye has the song with class that talks about this very thing. Sit back and let the motown groove take you for a ride. A memorable lead vocal, song angelic background vocals, a grooving 16th note drum and percussion beat going on, plus a hint at the wall of sound type of string arrangement. It all adds up to a classic.
Don’t have it? Go get it you music lover you.
