Wow, twice in a week. Bad corporate relations.
I spoke of finding out about Bank of America doing something to me and then that same day I had an email come across my desk about a fellow musician and his tribulations with United Airlines.
As a musician that flies, there are issues with taking instruments on board. They make hard shell cases to help protect the instrument, but anyone who has worked in shipping or flying knows those cases aren’t enough protection (unfortunate but true).
In this case, Dave Carroll went thru the ringer for his Taylor guitar. Since I’m a Taylor player and endorsee it holds extra value. The short of it is, the baggage handlers were seen throwing his instrument on the tarmac and I mean throwing. He went to speak to a gate attendant who promptly ignored his plea for his instrument. Here’s the link to the story – Dave Carroll Story.
The video was his response to the issue. A great idea. A catchy tune and a funny video to boot. As much as I don’t like to make a stink about some things, this is one of those things that should be made a stink of. It makes me feel like I ought to get a few buddies together to do a video about Bank of America. The power of the musician’s pen, a video and the internet.
Enjoy. And go donate to Dave.
