Ah, the joys of a having a puppy dog right? I had to get up once in the night and once very early in the morning. He was in need of going to the bathroom around 3 am and then was up very early around 6 am wanting to eat. I wonder how long a schedule like that will last. I don’t know if I’ll be happy having to get up shortly after going to sleep and getting up so early. I hope the dog can get onto my schedule at some point.
Anyway, I know a bunch of people were asking to see a picture of the puppy, which I’ve named Dorian. If you’re not a musician you might not know what the reference is. It’s not for Dorian Grey and it’s not for Dr. Dorian on Scrubs. Dorian is a type of musical scale. And there’s a second meaning that I thought of today after watching so many episodes of Dog Whisperer. The other reason is that I’m the Alpha, Dorian the 2nd or the follower. Dorian is the 2nd mode of the major scale. So there’s the other meaning.
One thing Dorian is, is a magnet for people. I made a pit stop on the way back from Vegas today and brought him out to walk around a relieve himself. It instantly brought about 7 women over to ask what kind of puppy he is and if they could pet him. I’m sure he didn’t mind the attention. The interesting thing is, if I walked away a little, he instantly came running. Seems he already knows who the alpha is and who is taking care of him. Which is a good thing.
Since I reserve Sunday’s for songs that aren’t on iTunes, you’re currently listening to a band called Fat. I was given their CD by a friend of mine that had worked at A&M. I guess they never really saw the light of day on the streets, but it’s a hard core CD that contains a lot of pumping guitar and loop style drums and beats. If there was going to be a switch for the rap rock style this would have been it.
Not sure if the band was signed to be shelved or if there was some other type of turmoil that prevented them from making it to the mainstream, but at least some of their sound got out.
If you love the song, I’m not sure how to tell you to get a copy. It’s not for sale anywhere. Do some digging like the dog of the song and you might find it in a bargain bin or something.
