The little things that hold stuff together, nuts and bolts. Aside from the wheel the concept of holding things together could be on the greatest achievements of mankind. Nuts and bolts also tends to describe a working situation as well. Like right now, I’m going thru the nuts and bolts of mixing a bunch of tunes for a CD. I’ve finished up the acoustic versions of the songs Robert and I have been working on. Now its on to the original souped up, punked out versions.
I’ve literally finished the first mix for that and I’m awaiting word about it. Once approved it will make the whole process for the other 7 songs go much faster. Speed can be good when you have a roadmap of where you’re going.
Another interesting development for me is that a couple of days ago, while shopping for food, I ran into an old friend who is working at Disney. She mentioned she’s sometimes in need of music for the projects she’s working on. Thus I’m now on her mind for a goto person to call for music. Gotta love that.
I’m in need of a little change of pace musically to relax my ears and get my mood switching for my afternoon. I hark to Natasha Bedingfield with a smokin ditty called These Words (I Love You). I know it’s been a hit. I don’t care. It’s a fun song. It gets your mood up. It puts a smile on your face and makes ya want to tap your feet and groove.
I’m not sure who the producer was on this track but they did a fantastic job of pumping ear candy into the mix. Natasha’s voice is also extremely tasty to listen to. That helps a whole bunch. Don’t ya think?
If you don’t have this track, why? Go get it now!
