What do people in America actually do the day before Thanksgiving? I wonder how many begin to rush around in a frenzy attempting to get something done knowing they have a day off tomorrow. Conducting last minute business or picking up items at the grocery store.
What do you do?
I think the one thing on a lot people’s minds throughout the world is the issue of money. Because so much is tied up in a crisis it can feel like the air is being sucked out of the world and it’s difficult to breath. Wouldn’t you agree?
Which brings me to this song today. Terence Martin brings a cool little mellow track to the world. Being that so many are probably stressing out due to money, family, and the holiday I thought it wise to bring a little brevity and relaxing into the day. Could also have a little to do with the rain coming down in Los Angeles.
Terence has a deep vocal going. It reminds me a little of what might have appeared on the soundtrack to something like The Sopranos. There are elements to the song that remind me a bit of Peter Gabriel. The percussion of the track has a gliding vibe that keeps the song floating along. The piano has a good improvised type of quality that doesn’t distract from the song. The dabs of backing vocals also tend to breath a bit of life into the song.
Take a moment to be one of the people breathing in today. Letting out the stress and having a good end to your week, as well as having a good Thanksgiving if you’re celebrating it.
