Shame on me. Fool me twice… shame on you. Ur uh. Yeah, something like that.
Actually, I have no idea what the hell that saying was supposed to mean. Way to go Bush. I think he must have been doing a ton of cocaine while listening to hair metal. That’s my guess. In the throws of some late night binge with some fraternity brothers he probably was pontificating on some woman he was dating. Provided he can pontificate. Years later he’s making a speech and a moment of genius overcomes him while yapping about a foreign country. A connection is made and out comes some babble about fooling and shame. At least that’s what my theory is.
In the meantime I’m still knee deep (literally) in bass trap building for the studio. Today’s inspiration came from driving to an appointment this morning and again listening to Jack FM. What a station. They’re an awful like an iPod. Though they do have a tendency to play a lot of music from the 80’s. Maybe that’s the core of the personnel that created the station. They grew up listening to all that music so they keep it in heavy rotation. Yet another theory.
Enough with the theories. I figured it would be fun to show yet another video from an era when music was sold via video. I’ve seen enough to know that this was very much the style of hair metal bands that produced them. The more girls with as little clothing as possible was the method to the madness.
Besides that it was driven by guitar playing. I’m a guitar player and I can appreciate a good riff. While I don’t write like this, I do recognize it was the style. Are you a closet headbanger? Do tell.
(** Disclaimer: If I end up being Cinderella’s fool, then I’ll have to unlink the video clip. The post will remain cause it’s all about the theory. **)
