Well, I didn’t on the road yesterday like I wanted. So I spending the time today. I’m out on the road by 9 a.m. for a nice road trip where I can crank up the iPod and blast myself silly for 11 hours in a straight shot from LA to PC. Since I have a nice gamut of a selection I’m sure I’ll be hearing an awful lot of music that I haven’t heard in a while. Maybe it will spark some additional ideas for Single of the Day.
So while you’re out and about on your hustle and bustle of holiday shopping. Think of me as I’m rippin down the road. From what I understand once I hit Cedar City I’ll be contending with a blizzard. It’s a good thing that I’ve got the Land Rover working in much better shape. It’s too bad they couldn’t get it done on time so that I could have been on the road last night. C’est La Vie.
Enjoy your Friday and your up to the last minute shopping. By tomorrow I’ll be in Utah frolicking in the snow. Maybe not frolicking, but I’ll be in the snow nonetheless. Skiing, here I come! Woo Hoo!
Since I had a train song earlier this week that had a bit of controversy to it. I figured I’d end the week in much the same way with a different train that also sparked controversy a bunch of years ago. None other than Ozzy, the rocker that has done some crazy stuff. Wanna hear some amazing guitar work? Pay attention to Randy Rhoads. He died long before I ever picked up a guitar, but if there was ever a guitar player I liked when I was learning to play – it was Randy. Character. He had it. Glad it got captured and saved.
Add it to your iPod.
(** Disclaimer: If Ozzy’s label decides to run me out on a rail, I’ll have the train barrel the audio right off the server. The post will remain to lionize the road trip for Christmas 2007. **)
