It’s a big bad world out there. All kinds of crazy stuff going on lately. Let’s take oil for instance. The kind of oil known as crude. Sweet, sweet crude. Is it really all that sweet? Probably not. Though I’ve never tasted it so I wouldn’t know exactly. Now let’s think about the ship that recently made a mess of the San Francisco bay. Then lets think about the 5 or so ships that recently made a mess in Russia. Ooooooh. Let’s combine that with the barrel price soaring up towards $100 (U.S.) or more. Isn’t that fun?
Now, what’s crazy is that people think I’m nuts for having converted my tour bus to run on used veggie oil. Or any veggie oil for that matter. So long as it’s heated and filtered. Of course you have to have a diesel engine to be able to accomplish such feats, but then it’s doable. I recently ran across Daryl Hannah’s website called dhlovelife.com. It’s fairly chocker with tips on how to be more environmentally friendly. It gave me an idea for a future blog for me, though I haven’t decided on how I’ll implement it just yet.
Tesla is the name of a brilliant inventor. It’s also the first name in a car company that you may not have heard about – Tesla Motors. Go visit their website. Their roadster is my goal for my next vehicle. Yes, it’s a tad pricey. But it’s stupid cool, environmentally friendly, and stoopid fast. Eventually they will make a more modest version. Until then, I’ve set my sights on getting the roadster. Which means I’ll also be looking into solar panels for the homestead.
Sly is how oil companies got in power. Big is what they’ve become. Rude is how people ignore change in order for convenience. That groove you’re hearing right now is sly to me. It gets into your veins. Gives you the desire to slink around like a snake. Maybe shimmy a little. Especially if you’re cruising down a main street drag, or in this case 7th Ave. (better would be cruising in an electric sports car like the Tesla). Big is the feeling I get while tromping around the room to this beat. It’s a tough guy growl sneaking in there. Rude is what you’d be if you didn’t purchase this song.
There’s nothing evil about Big Rude Jake. Unlike some of the issues with big oil. Don’t get me wrong. I realize it’s a business like anything else. However, I think there’s room in the market to bring other technologies to the table and to create a better situation over all for the rest of us. Just like Jake’s music. Where would this world be without a little swing? I don’t remember where I first heard the quote “It don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that swing.” But I do know that it’s relevant to much of the music I create. There has to be some sort of head bobbin goin on. This song definitely ‘s got it!
Go Jake Go.
