What do you do when your world comes crashing down? Have you ever had it come crashing down? What did you do? I read the news yesterday about a guy that bought a bunch of houses, got into financial trouble. Essentially went bankrupt and started a blog about the whole ordeal. He’s married, has no home, no job. They live with friends and she is working to get them food. I can’t imagine being that much of a drag on someone else. Interesting to say the least.
Speaking of crashing, ever seen the movie DogTown, the documentary about the legendary skaters? In that movie they talk about Jay Adams whom they say was one of the most gifted skaters ever. Apparently he could be making up a trick, have it starting to unravel and fall apart on him, yet out of the mess he’d pull through and it would be brilliant. I suppose it would have been very cool to have been a part of that revolution. Not only to see Jay skate but to be a part of that gang. They really did change the face of sports.
Sometimes when you’re being creative your brain decides it’s time to stop by giving you a headache. At least mine does. I haven’t figured out why that happens. Thankfully it’s not all that often, but yesterday was one of those days. I started a song that is to be from the point of view of Peter Petrelli on the show Heroes. It’s called Hero Unexpected. I’ve got the lyrics, I’ve got about 2/3 of the music. I was hoping to finish it yesterday but I’ll have to do it today.
I guess Booming and Banging are causing me to think in random spurts. Anyway, Rob is new to my senses. He’s got a pretty unique feel to his songwriting. This is a good thing. It seems that it is also drawing some interest from some famous bands to do some co-writing with him. Hey it’s gotta feel pretty good to be exploding on the scene with people wanting to write with you doesn’t it?
Catch Rob before he completely blows up. Remember he’s going Boom Bang!
