Well, I’ve finally got one of the computers back up and all installed. I’m running again. However, I will have to take it in for repair when I get my lappy back. Seems that in addition to the hard drive failing, I’ve also got a problem with one of the processors – it’s gone, won’t come back online, so I’m missing some of the power that I should have. Ugh.
At some point, I’ll be able to look back upon this week and laugh. For all the grief it’s been, in the grand scheme of things, it’s really nothing at all. I mean really, I’m not curing cancer – there’s already a cure for that. All I’m really attempting to do is bring a smile to your ears.
For all intensive purposes I’m on pins and needles today. I could be getting the lappy back. I’m supposed to hear word about an investment. My car is going in the shop for getting something fixed. Not to mention that I’m still having an issue with my ear. Ick.
I never knew of J. Geils, a slight bit before my time. However, I’m fully aware of the song thanks to things like VH1 flashback shows that you see from time to time around the holidays. I always remembered it. It’s a catchy tune. I’m sure they had a few other hits, but obviously they weren’t the biggest thing since sliced bread. I imagine they were fun though. I wonder what they would have been like live.
If you don’t have it, don’t look past the centerfold, get right to the lens and see what I mean. Buy it. Buy Centerfold too. Do it… Now!
(** Disclaimer: If J. Geils’ label decides to freeze me, I’ll have to break free of the page and give the server a chemical bath for the audio. The post will remain just because. **)
