Straight up out of the UK I’m getting a kitzchy indie sound cruising through my brain as I listen to this. I’m thinking of a soundtrack style song for a brit-humor movie. This isn’t a bad thing. I’m a huge fan of British stuff. Hell I dated a Brit! Some of my favorite movies of all time, British. One of my current favorite T-shirts, contains a British flag. Ok, you get the picture. I’ll shut up about that now.
I’ve recently been dancing on the edge of disaster, career disaster that is. It seems like so much good stuff has been happening but at the same time I’m at a bit of a standstill. 2007 should prove to be interesting if some of the stuff that is currently on the back burner suddenly gets moved to the front. I’ve got fingers crossed and I already have to give props to my sister who’s helped me out of a huge big bind today.
Unlike the character in Aubrey Lemmon’s song, I know full well what I want to be. I’ve been doing it for a while, but always in obscurity. I’ve been flirting with possible breakouts, but so far they’ve all been near misses to date. I can feel a home run coming. Do you feel it?
I think Aubrey Lemmon, is on the verge of a home run too. I find the chorus to be highly catchy. It’s definitely got that Brit thing happening. The energy is oozing out of the speakers. It’s one of those things where I’m on the fence about the amount energy compared to some of the missed notes in the vocals. I obviously dig the energy, but I’ll definitely be interested in hearing if they can eventually reel in the pitch ’cause I like the song writing. It’s fresh to my ears and that’s a good thing. That means show them some luv’n’support.
