The time has come the walrus said, to talk of many things. Of shoes and ships, of sailing wax and cabbages and kings. Crap, did I get that quote wrong?
Ah, the magic of snow. My travels took me through a variety of driving conditions yesterday. Woo Hoo. That’s when I like to drive. It keeps you on your toes when you get slush, snow flurries, and other drivers being silly. It’s gonna be a white Christmas for me. How about you?
Within hours of arriving at me ma’s house, I had to quickly wrap up a few gifts for the extended family Christmas gathering. I also had to walk and feed my mom’s dog. In the midst of that I also had a quick radio interview/Merry Christmas thing with the ODU. Snow has apparently been causing a few problems around the west in the last several days. My mom was out to the airport to pick up my sister who’s plane was 2 hours late. I don’t know why, but maybe it had something to do with Denver.
The snow is piling up here. It’s also good and cold. I like it. It’s time for a nice change in the climate. Though I must say, I’m not overly keen on how dry it is right now. That’s one thing I really notice is that my nose is dying for water. I decided that I’m gonna keep a glass of water next to me in case I get too dry during the night. Ick.
Sometime over the next two days, I may just roll up a couple of snowballs and make my own version of Frosty. But I won’t name it Frosty. I’ll have to come up with something a bit more inventive. Have you ever made a snowman? How about a snow angel?
Enjoy this classic.
