Tracking Motion on iTunes
I don’t plan on making this a major habit, but two posts in one week is probably going to be the most I’ll ever do, in terms of my music. I figured that since I placed in 2nd with Best Rock Instrumental Song, I’d share it with you now before the luster on that fades away. So here’s Tracking Motion.
There’s a saying that goes something like, when it rains it pours. Well, I have a feeling there should be one about how once something gets rolling it’s likely to keep in motion. Obviously there is a physics term for it, but there ought to be a great saying about motion. I’ll work on it by putting my thinking cap on. Until then, here’s my motion and it movement. Last week I was merely a nominee for five categories in the largest music awards in the world.
Move to this week and I’m in a different situation. I’m working on a major change in my website. I’ve been called up to produce a recording session tonight. I’m going out on my first commercial audition. Not to mention that I’m going to need to a little time to get packed for tomorrow morning where I’m flying out to Florida. It feels so last minute and so rushed. I think it’s a good thing though as it means something is happening.
Earlier yesterday I was doing a phone interview. Originally I figured it would be about 15 minutes, but it ended up running nearly an hour. I’ll eventually post the audio on my official website so you can hear the meandering conversation. The beauty of an independent station, they didn’t have to stick to a shortened interview so it goes on. Hopefully not too long.
Of course I’m excited to see and experience what is going to happen. And as you can read, I probably need to get some help to track all my motion that I have going on.
The song itself began as a one minute loop of music for a DVD menu system. However that system, that DVD, ended up tankin. I liked the music so much I took another round with messing with it and stretched it out into a full fledged song. Thus you get what you hear now.
I’m biased in saying – BUY THE MUSIC! I can certainly appreciate it if you do. Better yet, buy the whole CD, it’s all good. Just ask the Stack and Di listeners on the ODU.
