This guy came recommended to me by a myspace friend. What a great thing that myspace can be sometimes. I don’t really know much about Aaron. But then that’s kind of a common thing as of late. I’ve been to quite a few functions where it seems I’m knowing less and less people.
Take for instance last night. I went to a Halloween party with Erin. It was being thrown by one of my oldest friends, I’ve known him since 5th grade. Normally at his parties I know just about everyone. Such was not the case last night. It was a little surreal.
I did go as my friend for my costume. At first he wasn’t amused. In fact he didn’t think I did a good job of imitating him or his look. However, several other people at the party felt I did a great job. Even better, his brother at one point mistook me for being him. That was brilliant. So all in all. I felt it was well done, even if he didn’t mind me.
Aaron has a good thing going on. I really like the feel going on here. The vibe makes me feel like I’m going to be sipping mojitos on the beach in Hawaii. I think the main giveaway is the faux slack-key guitar being played on the slide. The oohs in the background that define the rest of the chord structures is a very interesting treatment. Since I don’t know the style of music that well I can say if it’s typical. I will say that I will be politely stealing it as an effect on my next CD.
As for buying the music… You’ll need to get a hold of Aaron. It’s not on iTunes. But support this guy!
