Here’s a band that’s still putting out albums, but I feel they hit the Fallen Friday category after this big hit that they had. I actually remember the video for this one. It was extremely cool with how well it was laid out. That’s what I really clung too as a kid watching this song.
At this point, I feel like I’m actually living in virtual insanity. I think the main reason for it is that my CD is titled Practical Insanity and I’m going insane attempting to bring it to the masses. If you have read some of the posts in the past that describe some of the trials and tribulations that I’ve been going through with shows, marketing, distribution, etc… Go take some time, I’ll wait.
Ok, done?
Seriously, go read up through all the posts. I’ll wait.
Alright, I’ll move on now. I’ve been told to never reveal anything but true stardom. Be the rockstar. So that’s what I’m doing, I’m being the rockstar even if it kills me. I’m promoting to every available outlet that I can. I’m meeting as many people as I can. It’s a long battle to the top. I’m gonna make it, just like Jamiroquai did. I feel like it’s right there. I’m making the biggest leap ever because I believe. Do you believe?
As for Jamiroquai, I think it was two things that helped them, then hurt them. First was the singer. He sounded like a Stevie Wonder clone. Then there was the vibe of the music. It was fresh at the time. I didn’t follow them much past this hit. Lots of people didn’t. That’s why it’s a Fallen Friday. Now, why did those things hurt them? Well, there’s only one Stevie Wonder. Then the sound of rock changed.
There’s another band going through the same thing right now, but I bet they will fair much better. That would be none other than Maroon 5.
As for this song and the rest of Jamiroquai’s catalog. It’s on iTunes. If you haven’t got it yet. Why not? Go get it now!
(** Disclaimer: If Jamiroquai’s label plans on altering my reality, I’ll remove the audio to restore my center. The text will remain. **)
