3… Ever have one of those days where everything has been slowly decaying around you. Then boom, boom, boom, all the decaying things finally croak and die? Well, that’s the day I’ve started off with. Not overly enjoyable. It’s always a disappointment when you start the day with one direction and then that direction gets ignored as something else of more importance takes over.
2… The thing that really has me unhappy is that my car has decided that the back door no longer wants to open. Locked shut, refuses work from inside or out. Silly Land Rover, I had other broken shit that needed to go in the car as well. That made for some interesting juggling.
1… I seem to remember that I figured out that things break in cycles. Since it’s been a year or so since shit has really broken and most likely because I’ve spent about 3 or so weeks updating the studio, I suppose other stuff felt neglected and decided to take all the attention. Where’s a personal assistant when you need one right?
Go… Anyway, before I delve too far into my own psychosis I’ll stop and attempt to turn it around with a catchy tune out of New York. Welcome Jupiter One. Powering through an eclectic tune called Countdown. It reminded me of the whole things break in cycles. I guess the title triggered the whole counting down to destruction.
It’s well crafted piece of work. The singer reminds me of someone out of one of the 80’s style synth pop bands, but mixed with this more modern organic synth type thing of today. Somehow that seems to work for me. I really like the idea of the video. It’s creative. Talk about guerilla style video filming on a subway. When the chorus kicks in it’s a real uptempo ride. That’s always fun when a song takes off and you’re along for the ride. Are you with me on it?
