Ah that joyous day that makes many a man cringe in agony. Oddly I hear more and more women and couples state that they don’t observe Valentines Day. For me, and I know I’ve stated this in the past, it’s odd that a day has to be singled out for this. Even more odd when you consider that St. Valentine was actually quite violent as well. Not the man of love that he somehow gets associated with.
For me, I’ll be spending the day taking a trip to Irvine. Gotta take care of some business that will be a nice release from some of the garbage I’ve been dealing with as of late. Then it’s time to make music. Last night I finished lyrics for a song (next step to sing the melody). I also started lyrics for yet another song as well, got the chorus completed, and part of the verse. Today I’ll be working on a film trailer score and more of the tagging of my library.
Tonight I’m flying solo, so I’ll likely continue with more words and music. I’m starting to impose a deadline on myself. I’d like to see if I can finish the lyrics and melodies to about 30 songs before the end of the month. I’m gonna have nearly 80 songs to whittle through for the next Jody Whitesides CD. At the end of it it will be the best 10 to 12 songs that will be guaranteed to bring a smile to a face.
Gotta get rolling, so here goes…
For all the love birds out there that knew or know of the person they truly love I’m going with my song Falling In. It’s a great song. It’s a great video. Can’t beat the fact that it describes that feeling you get when you know you’ve fallen for a special someone. Right now it isn’t me, but it will be. Oh yes, it will be.
Killer chops. Cool melody. Great accents. Superb drawings. What more do you need?
Go get this song for your schnookums, your honeypie, your kissypoo or whatever your term of endearment is. You’ll be the happier for it.
