Ah, I almost feel like I’m getting parched for additions to the Sunday’s Child lineup. It’s getting more and more difficult to come across music that isn’t on iTunes. That’s a good thing for artists. More intelligent is how I view that. I suppose that will start putting a dent in Sunday’s Child posts. I almost thought I wouldn’t have a Sunday’s Child today. Happily I did find one recent song that came to me by way of recommendation from another artist recently featured on Single of the Day. Thus it remains Sunday’s Child remains intact. Woo Hoo. Next week might be a different story.
I made a little discovery yesterday as well. I was out and about hanging with a friend and some new found friends at a place called Busby’s in Santa Monica. Oh, I think it was called that, I may have the spelling wrong. Anyway, I’m not known for spending time watching football. However, I rather enjoyed it yesterday. Seems every so often some football player makes an astounding play. Of course the first thing that ran through my mind in every instance was, is that guy on steroids?
The pounding they take is brutal, and some of the things they do are nothing short of incredible feats of human body twisting. Add to that the amount of snow fall that occurred and it makes it all the more better! Snow was the exciting factor for the game for me. They had to clean of the yard lines and the players were slipping around which was fun to watch. That made the game exciting for me. That, is taking me to a foreign place in life, but foreign is good.
Which is sorta how I feel about today’s song. Desert. The desert for a lot of people is a place of isolation. However how many people actually get to spend time in the Desert? I have. It’s a really cool place to experience. Come to think of it, I’ve been to several deserts. They’re all different. Each has it’s own character. Much like this song. I’m not a big Emo type guy. In fact, I can’t say I do much of anything Emo wise. Thus this is a departure for me for sure. Again a foreign place, and that’s not a bad thing.
Go visit Enoke’s myspace page and tell him you like the song. Bug ‘m to get up on iTunes if you truly want it.
