Big thing in life is never assume.
Never assume that something will get done by someone else. Never assume that you can get what you need. Never assume you can get what you want. Not without asking for it and negotiating for it.
Same goes for not holding your breath. Never hold your breath if you’re waiting on someone or something. It’s not worth the possible lack of oxygen and/or death if you have to wait too long.
I got an email yesterday that was rather disappointing that now requires additional negotiating to be rectified. Not fun.
All this leads me into a track called I Won’t Hold My Breath by Jen Hirsh. Opening with a simple little electric guitar chord accompanying her vocal which is then complimented by her friend Kyle Patrick. In a way it reminds me a little of Jason Mraz and Colby Calliat. Jen was a contestant on season 9 of American Idol. Thus if you’re a fan of that show you might already know who she is.
I like the lilting nature of the song. There’s a good bounce to how it flows and I enjoy that. Jen and Kyle blend well together vocally, that’s a great thing. I wonder if I’m out of the loop a bit as I can’t recall too many duets in the past few years. Except for Jason and Colby. Thus I hope Jen and Kyle find some great success with this song. To me it’s a winner.
