Yesterday I was out and about in the sun of Santa Monica. I spent some time looking for an additional person or persons to bring along to help grow the library I’ve been working on. It’s a process. The initial team of people I found were all well meaning but they were overwhelmed by the needs of what’s happening. But it seems that I’ve found two people yesterday that appear to fit the bill. That’s a bonus.
Tonight I get to spend some time going on a bike ride. The same group that I went with last month when I had the accident and got injured. I have the feeling I won’t be getting injured this time. And that’s a plus.
Until tonight I’ve got to spend some time working on an album that I’m producing for someone else. Going thru vocal takes and then mixing the effort into a final form. Off to work I go.
I’m not making the best of connections to a title today. I’m running with a song that is quirky called Keep It All by In The Cinema. I’m really diggin the super eclectic vibe their throwing out. I’m getting an odd sense that it is reminiscent of say Peter Gabriel but without the same polish. Even with that comparison they have a good original sense to what they’re doing.
Of course this is in no way a route to something that would become hugely popular on commercial radio. No this is something that is cool but would remain underground. Enjoy it and explore them anyway. I think you’ll be surprised.
