Talk about having a good time writing. Yesterday was a fun session with a new writing group based on two people I’ve already co-written with individually. There will be a fourth to join us on the next session next week. The fruit of the labor resulted in a song that would be perfect for Hanna Montana. No, I’m not kidding. The best part of it is, it’s a little more grown up, perfect for her next step. Go figure – me with a second tune in my bag for Hanna Montana.
Then I hung out and made pizza with Femke Weidema. She was one of the co-writers and unfortunately got a major headache during the session. Not fun when you have to listen to pounding music and come up with ideas, and yet she did with awesome ability.
Not sure how that all led to me being extremely lazy this morning and getting out of bed around 1 p.m.
Yet here I am, thinking about making some waffles. Why? Because waffles rule! It doesn’t hurt that I believe the waffles I make kick serious ass. Made from scratch, with cool things like chocolate chips baked right in. Smothered in butter and lathered with syrup, the organic maple kind with a side of uncured bacon. Leads to a happy mouth, happy tummy and a happy head.
Waffles mean love, and that’s a what a future love of mine can get in the mornings. A little pickle tickle and a great breakfast. I guess it’s the Hanna Montana and the love of waffles in my head that lead me to connect with a new boy band called Varsity.
So as you’re reading this, sit back relax and enjoy the production. It’s a pure polished pop. Perfect for the tween crowd and for swaying your head back and forth. At least that’s what I’m doing as I’m listening. I suppose they are poised to take over from the last wave of boy bands that were led by the likes of N’Sync and Backstreet Boys. Not a bad spot to be in from a fame standpoint. I bet they get the hearts of lots of school girls pumping. Don’t ya think?
Time to think about your future love, then pick this up as the soundtrack for it!
