I’m not a huge conspirist. But I do follow logic. Lots of things are of wacked logic in the past 7 years. I spent some time watching Loose Change the Final Cut this morning. I watched the original version a few years back at the request of a good friend of mine. One thing I can say, lots of stuff about that day don’t add up. Dylan Avery has certainly come a long way as a story teller from version one to version final. The story is less accusatory. More questioning and despite the 2 hour running time, still feels like it’s missing information. I’ve seen other documentaries that have more info about other aspects of the day. It would be nice to get them all consolidated. But that’s probably just not possible.
On par with something like the Kennedy assassination, 9/11 will probably never have truth revealed. With the age I plan on living to, I would hope that the powers that be release the information in time as they are supposed to. Not that it really will have any bearing on life in 75 years. I suppose it’s all part of being on the outside wanting to be in the know.
Speaking of being in the know…
Here’s a band who is working on their ability to create music. Walrus. Much like Lemonhead that a featured a few weeks back. Comprised of teens, Walrus is in the inkling stages. They certainly are writing in an attempt to sound like other bands in the vein of The Starting Line, Red Jumpsuit Aparatus, or Fall Out Boy, maybe even a sprinkling of Hoobastank. There’s definitely some good ideas being started there.
Like Lemonhead, I think Walrus could use a great producer who can help them mold a slightly more unique direction. Maybe calm down the need to overplay some of the parts. They have that inkling, that spark. There’s hints of something big to come. Like anything, time will tell if everything will come to bear the fruits of hard labor. Interestingly enough there’s another similarity between Walrus and Lemonhead. They’re both fronted with a guy and a girl singing. Could this be the next big thing for edgy college rock? Hmmm…
Walrus is apparently to broke to sell their CD via CD Baby and iTunes. Anyone got $35 to loan them? Until then, visit their website over at myspace and bug ’em to start selling their music on a wider scale.
Be in the know!
