Before the storm. Before the mess. Los Angeles and lots of California got soaked like it was hit with net of water guns. Then came the rocky mountain’s turn. Blasted like it was hit with a snow gun on a movie. Tons and tons of snow. So much so that even in Park City areas of town took two days to get dug out. Darn. I should have stayed even longer. The skiing must be insane right now. I bet Erika Christensen might show up in Park City next week for Sundance. Who’s taking bets on if she can ski?
I left in the calm prior to the big storm. It would have been nice driving having this tune playing in the background like a cool breeze. Since I’ve been on a mellow quick I’ll be light on the words. I will say that I’m highly impressed with the sound of the acoustic guitar in this recording. It’s very vibrant. Very clean. Sets up a good mood that feels like a small breeze while you’re relaxing in a chair on a country porch overlooking a farm meadow. I can feel the glass of iced tea in my hand. My straw hat being flippant on my head and the gentle creek of the rocking chair as I watch the dark storm clouds rolling in on the horizon.
