I know it’s already started. For those of us who do the Christmas thing. Buy, buy, buy. Be a good consumer. In some warped sense, I think I’ve noticed a little less of the Christmas rush this year. At least I don’t seem to remember much Christmas being mentioned prior to Halloween. In fact, I don’t think I remember much hoopla about it prior to Thanksgiving. It’s that or I’m really not paying attention.
Last year I was lamenting about how retailers push for Christmas shopping to point of encroaching on Halloween. It feels more mellow this year. Wouldn’t you agree?
I’m likely to start showcasing quite a few Christmas songs from now until the 25th. Mostly because it’s the season. Snow is finally starting to fall in the mountains where I’ll be in a few weeks. The temperature has actually dropped pretty drastically here in Los Angeles in the past two days. Firing up the heat for the first time since probably February.
While it’s not normally my motive operandi to feature the same artist in such a short time, but it worked out pretty well. Especially since it’s time to start thinking of Christmas and holiday spirits. Here’s an uptempo alternative rock tune to get your spirits up.
Daniel actually asked me about Christmas music when he was referring another band that he likes. So I asked him to let me listen and now I’m sharing it with you. I couldn’t find it on iTunes, nor on CD Baby. So you’ll have to contact Daniel directly if you’re interested in picking this song up for your own collection.
Have a great intro into your holiday spirit. I’m off to go pretty up my yard before shuffling into the studio to work on more tunes.
