Happy Birthday to me…
Happy Birthday to me…
Happy Birthday to me…
Happy Birthday to me…
How pathetic eh? I’m wishing myself happy birthday. Oh well. I suppose I shouldn’t complain too much, it looks like I’ve had a pretty amazing week of western U.S. travel.
In addition tonight I’ll likely be seeing Keb Mo in concert, so that should be fun.
And overall it’s been a good day, only I’ve had to add another number to my pocket. So I feel this has been a long week of great balls!
In light of that, today’s Sunday’s Child is one that I can’t believe. AC/DC, the penultimate of Hard Rock bands is not going to be on iTunes anytime soon. They have recently signed an exclusive deal with Verizon to have the digital versions of their music distributed via Verizon. Uh, why?!? I’m wondering how much Verizon paid to get that type of deal to happen. I mean seriously, how stupid does a business deal have to be that a band would avoid putting their material on the most popular digital site in the universe. Not to mention locking themselves into a deal with a provider that isn’t the most popular and currently only available via cell phones. Am I’m missing something?
Can someone tell me the brilliance behind that deal?
(** Disclaimer: If AC/DC’s label decides to go dirty on my balls, I’ll have to raincheck the audio on the server. The post will remain to show I’ve gained another year. **)
