Short, timed wrong, and back to work. Not necessarily in that order. I’ve been on the phone, talking, faxing, dealing. Then comes the running around getting things in the mail. An impromptu day of errands and business. Now that things are starting to get back on track there’s a bit of catching up to do. After all that, a long recording session for a Gospel record. I can’t complain, the drivers seat is finally coming back around.
Much like how The Police are doing on their tour. I read something this morning about Stuart Copeland talking shit about their start of the tour. How off everything is. Where no one can hear each other and they’re each in their own little worlds. Apparently the first few shows of any tour are like that. It’s getting the kinks worked out. Getting a feel for what is going on. Unfortunately for a band like The Police and for the insane ticket prices being charged, I think it’s a tad lame that stuff like that is happening on the level that Stuart is describing. I mean people being a whole beat off from everyone else for the entire song?!? C’mon.
Essentially, they’re out of sync.
Like today, I was out of sync.
Maybe the world in general was a little out of sync. Was it out of sync for you too?
There’s not much to say about the brilliance of The Police. I didn’t experience it the first time around, I was too young. That doesn’t mean I don’t know who they are and that I don’t respect them, hell no. They were great. I just wonder if that greatness should have been left alone.
(** Disclaimer: If The Police’s label decides to sync their lawyers on me, I’ll have to unsync the audio from the server. The post will remain to show how off this day was. **)
