I learned something about banks yesterday that I didn’t know before. They have a questionaire they ask when you’re making a wire transfer. The questions are very similar to the nature of questions asked for air travel. Maybe it’s because it was my first wire transfer, I don’t know. Then there’s nothing like fighting LA traffic. A few more phone calls and a meeting. A fairly long day.
I ended up finishing it off with watching Invincible. I didn’t expect much from it which is why I was pleased about it. Mark Wahlburg has done a great job. Do see it, especially if you’re a sports/football fan.
Today’s tune is from an artist I’ve seen around LA. Every time I hear about her she’s doing in terms of shows, or promotion that go above and beyond the average musician’s efforts. Turns out she’s also got some heavy management behind her too. She was telling me that she’s been turned down by every label she’s been submitted to. So I figured my advice would be to have her manager attempt to put a plan together to raise money instead. He’s got her distribution, they only need capital. I hope he’s receptive to the idea. I know Marina liked it.
I dig this song as it’s got lots of odd things about it. It’s dark yet there’s a bouce in the rhythm. In the same vein as say Tori Amos, it’s hard not to conclude as such because she plays piano. Yet she has a character that is all her own. Listen, get lost, enjoy, and support!
thank you, Jody, for such sweet words!!
hugs,
Marina 🙂
